Easy Steps to Discover Your Purpose (And How I Found Mine)

Easy-Steps-Discover-Your-Purpose-1-350x245
By Hilde Larsen, Wake Up World

We all have a purpose, either we believe it or not. When we find it, or rather, when it finds US, magic happens. Like it did to me. Living a purposeful life doesn’t mean it is all dandy and a non-stop ride to fairyland. It simply means you find value and growth in your experiences, and you feel in sync and flow with life. It feels like freedom and home. The search is over, the drive and enthusiasm come natural towards your life.

Not living your purpose? If you have a corporate job that you are ok with, but it was never your dream, and your life feels dull and mediocre, you are not fulfilling your purpose.

What do you have to do to allow a purpose-driven life? To find it you have to let go of what you already believe, and why you are not living it. I remember an old story, told to me about Bruce Lee, where he was asked what he knew about martial arts. He held up two cups, both filled with water. He said; “The first cup represents what you know about martial arts, and the second cup represents what I know about martial arts.” Then he said; “If you want to fill your cup with my knowledge, you have to empty your cup of your knowledge.” This is such an amazing insight that takes us back to the basics of this book. No more bullshit. Not only untrue, or perceptions and programming need to go, but everything we ever believed. In order to fill our cup with the valuable lessons of life, and to find our true purpose, we need to empty our cup of what we already believe we know.

“Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I need to listen to my life to tell me who I am.” — Parker J. Palmer

Mark Manson talks about the do something principle, leading to the understanding that passion comes from action. “When you want something to change, change something”, is a commonly known motivational phrase. I use it all the time, it makes sense. Every change requires action, in one form or another. But, don’t we need inspiration, motivation and passion to take action? Isn`t there a need for inner motivation? If you need inspiration to take action and inspiration comes from action, then where do you start? It sounds like a catch 22, and it is. This is when you do something. By moving the energy, you move towards an outcome. By simply doing, you are creating a flow of new opportunities and understandings about yourself and your path. Finding your purpose is a search that requires you to be active and awake, honest and true. You cannot think your way to your purpose, you have to act your way to it.

Your purpose is what makes you tick. It is what triggers your bliss, your enthusiasm and your love for life. When you find it, you feel at home, valued and seen. But the thing is, it is deeper than that. You see the crap that has been holding you back and you call the bullshit and negative self-talk that might have been with you forever. We all have a purpose, or several, but it might not be what you expect. It can be very different from what you have been living your whole life. Believe me, I know.

“Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you’re alive, it isn’t.” — Richard Bach

So, if you are not living a life filled with passion and direction, enthusiasm and meaning, you are not living your purpose. If you are looking forward to vacations months ahead, believing that work is something you do for money only, you are way off target. When the weekends are looking like candy, while weekdays are simply dragging you along, you are not living it. You might like what you do, but there is no real passion and purpose. Do we all have to be so passionate you might ask? The short answer is yes. It is natural to be healthy, enthusiastic, happy, passionate and loving life. Most people are not, but that does not mean it is not our true mission. What makes us feel purposeful and full of life, is very different, yet the feeling is the same. It does not matter what it is, but there is something that will spark your inner fuse, and light that fire. If you never felt what I am describing, keep working towards it, as it is there. Some of us go through half our lives sleeping, not having a clue that there is a way to live that fuels you every single day. Many will live their whole lives without ever even thinking there is such a thing as a life purpose. The subconscious false beliefs, the clutter, drama, and stress, is a complete deal breaker. When we are fear-driven, ego-driven and power-driven, no purpose will show itself. It will try to, but our vision is too blurred to notice.

Purpose gives a sense of meaning — a sense of understanding a small part of what this magnificent creation is all about. When there is meaning, there is less confusion, frustration, fear and overall negativity. When we feel meaningful, we feel safer and more content. A hole has been filled and a thirst has been quenched. From being prisoners by our subconscious beliefs, our constant thinking, ego-based disconnected lives, we hunger for that deep meaning of life. The constant search for reason and fulfillment. The hunger is valid, as the lies and deceptions we have lived through have starved our soul from being able to fully express itself. Any lack of expression will harvest a sense of constipation, imprisonment, and unhappiness. We need to fully live our truth to be able to embrace all of life. It is not supposed to be complicated at all, quite the opposite. It is supposed to be life, living, creating and experiencing. Nothing we do, say, think or believe can mess up anything, really, but we can absolutely step up our game by owning our true purpose.

Follow the voice of your inner child:

Children are honest about their interests and passions. Until we hold them back by trying to make them all fit into the same box, they are proud of their every endeavor. Until we poor our insecurities and false beliefs over them, they express their true purpose. Willingly and freely they show us what makes them shine and blossom when we let them. As long as they feel safe, they will unfold their soul’s mission. Remember when you were a small child. What did you like to do? What made you happy, and what did you want to do when you grew up? Children will often follow in the footsteps of a parent, uncle or family member when they show honest interest in their profession. The learning has begun. They are open and teachable. Not that a child cannot have the same passion as a parent, but often the admiration of the adult as a role model will influence the motivation greatly.

Look back and observe how your life unfolded and changed. Did your interests shift suddenly? Did someone tell you something about what you liked to do that made you stop? Some loved to dance but stopped because of someone telling them they were too fat. Maybe you wanted to sing until your sister and her friends laughed at you. Most of those who have followed their dream, their passion and their longings have done so despite what others have said, not because of.

Your purpose can be multiple:

There is not a sign or a tablet in the heavens with your name on it, that has one single purpose named “jackpot.” You are not singled out for one particular task, and nothing else. I believe we have many potentials, and for some even multiple purposes at the same time. The search should never be for anyone single purpose, but rather for it, whatever it is. If you are good at several things, you are blessed, if you love to multitask and have a passion for a series of activities, you are blessed also. Never try to single out, and thereby discern anything that brings you joy and enthusiasm, and never override the language of the soul.

Be open to everything that gives you joy and inspiration. Embrace all of it. If you love to sing, sing more and louder, and if you love to ride your bike, ride more and longer. The rest will unfold as you follow the lead. You will notice that you are not the only one affected by your enthusiasm. When we touch upon others and lift them in any way, we are on the path of truth. Confirmed by our surroundings.

“As we cleanse our entire being from useless and disempowering nonsense, it becomes easier to hear what we have to say.” – Hilde Larsen

Lead from the heart:

Listen carefully to your life. It speaks to you through your emotions, your thoughts, and your feelings. We are never clueless, always guided by our inner compass. By staying in our brain, by thinking and analyzing with our mind, it gets harder to hear the answer. It comes from the heart. Although we need our brain to write down our lists, to remember and to resonate, the less we think, the closer we get to the truth. Your brain will try to play some tricks on you, to discourage you. The subconscious might have some unfinished business and remember some untrue beliefs. It is not trustworthy like the heart. Meditate every day to open your heart space and at the same time quiet the mind. Listening to the heart is the same as listening to the passion

Our heart will lead us to guide and help others, and I believe this is a part of any true purpose. People that have found their place in this world are often known as givers. They happily share what they know because they also know that assisting a fellow human is a part of the whole mission. Together we grow, and there is enough to go around. By reaching out to someone you are showing gratefulness and appreciation. That in itself will create more to be grateful for. We are not separated, only detached. By paying it forward you are stepping into the energy of pure intent, and nothing will be more fulfilling. Giving really is receiving.

Stepping outside the drama:

Be the observer. Step out of your own head, your everyday life, and take a critical look at what is going on. How are you spending your time? What pisses you off, and why. Who pushes your buttons, and why are you involved in any drama? Try to see a larger picture patterns and beliefs. Sometimes it can be a good thing to simply hit pause and step outside for a minute. Sit down, detach yourself and observe. Do it every day. Practice not getting emotionally involved in your day. Not alone, not around people. Life is not happening to you. You are creating it.

Give yourself the permission to search behind the scenes. Your purpose might not be far from where you are. Sometimes all that is needed is some decluttering and some reorganizing, and everything falls into place. Perhaps you are doing what you really love, but with the wrong people, or you need to redefine some or your boundaries. You might believe that what you already know to be your path is not sustainable. That is not something you can support yourself and your family doing. If that is the case, work on releasing those false beliefs, and look for those that have already done it. If you can`t find anyone, search for those who have done something similar, and be a pioneer. It takes dedication and work, so give yourself time to work yourself into the new and fulfilling path. If it was easy, everybody would do it. Easy is overrated and sometimes confused with effortlessness. No real effort is needed when you are in the flow of your heart and soul, but it might not be defined as easy.

Once you follow your truth, life becomes effortless.

Ask and it is given:

Find your journal and claim it for your life purpose. The most important book in your life, and about your life. Write down these headlines and do some freestyle writing. Don’t use your brain too much, but let the pen do the work. Write from your heart. There is no right or wrong. Nothing has to be politically correct or parent or spouse approved. Everything is allowed, sensor free. Step out of your thinking and let it flow freely and instantly. For each topic, write the first three sentences that come to you. Repeat every day for one whole week. Let your inner knowing come forth, as you force the subconscious mind to reveal the hidden truth. Let your heart and soul connection with your true self.

What are you good at? We are all good at something. You don’t have to see yourself as a master or an expert, yet, but find something that you know within your heart that you are good at.

Do you have a hobby? If you don’t have one now, you might have had one as a child or a young adult. Maybe you have had an interest that never amounted to any real hobby, but you still have a secret passion for the topic. Maybe even more than one.

What makes time stand still? Have you experienced losing yourself in something to the point where time vanished and nothing else mattered? When we are in our zone, we block out everything else, due to a deep focus and engagement.

How can you serve? How would you be able to help others? What do you have to offer that would benefit someone in need? Is there anything the world needs right now that you believe is important and interesting?

If you had all the money in the world, what would you do? If money was not an issue, what would you spend your time doing?

What would you do the last year of your life? This is a typical question and will, of course, reflect on the need to spend time with our loved ones, but some interesting things might come forth from asking yourself this.

What did you dream about doing as a child? Write down anything that comes to mind. Small, big, no limits.

Listen to your life, it is bigger than yourself. Listen to your dissatisfaction, and what others tell you about you. Your life has a purpose for others, why is that? Get to know yourself and listen closely.

Our purpose is to find our purpose, to live it and to share it with others.

Let it flow:

Here is another exercise for you to have fun with. Let your purpose come forth. Get your journal and set the alarm on 3 minutes. That is all you need. Sit comfortably and write nonstop. No thinking allowed. This is called intuitive writing. Write down everything you would do if you could start all over. If you go a whole new lease on life, from early childhood, what would it look like? What would you do, where would you be, and who would you be with. There are no limits here. Not about money, time, age, gender or family. Use your imagination freely. Nothing is too small and nothing is too extravagant or large. This is your dream world. Focus on you, on what you would do, what you would spend your time doing. Do this for ten executive days, then read and see what you find. Maybe every day you write something similar, and maybe there are some things that stay the same. Look for the common thread, you will find your clue.

I will not “work” another day in my life:

When I found my mission, my purpose, my whole life changed. I pursued a trait that reflected what I was good at, or one of the things I was good at. At least that is what I was told growing up. Without having one true passion, I believed that since I had the skill, it would have to be my path. My heart was never consulted. I had several interests and paths I could have chosen. I was a decent piano player, loved everything about music, and danced for years. I was also a gymnast but ended up as an Interior architect with great success. The success that contributed to stress and ill health. I worked hard, not passionately. I stepped up to my responsibilities, from being determined, well taught and proud, not because of my inner drive. I used my stubbornness, skills and, ability to persevere to succeed as we often see it. I was not a complete stranger to my passions, I just never followed them from my heart. I never prioritized my heart callings, they were always cluttered by my life´s teachings. When my life was turned upside down by illness and pain, it was very clear that what I was doing was not supporting my soul purpose. My whole life was not supporting my true mission.

From true purpose comes balance, not stress and disease. No sickness can live in an alkaline passionate and enthusiastic environment. Self-love and compassion will not allow it. My whole life fell apart, and from the ashes, I found my true path, and all the blessings that come with it. I was brutally awakened, through losing everything that I knew as my current life. My business and career, my health, my ability to move, my hobbies and my friends. I went through HELL to Inspired, and am now doing what I love, feeling more enthusiastic about life than ever before, and the last thing on my mind is a vacation. My job is my passion and my mission. It is my true calling. It fuels me, and it inspired me. Sure, there are days that takes a lot of effort and determination, and yes, every single day keeps me learning and growing. What it does not do is drain my energy.

I am true to myself, and therefore I take care of myself.

I do what I love, therefore I love what I do.

I follow my heart, as I know what following the mind will do.

It is a trap. Don´t fall for it.

The Dangers of Playing It Safe – and How to Overcome the Fear of Self-Expression!

HarmonicConvergenceofSouls

July 2nd, 2018

By Nanice Ellis

Contributing writer for Wake Up World

I’ll be the first to admit that self-expression can be scary, especially when survival instincts warn us to play it safe. Since it often feels easier to repress self-expression than risk judgment, humiliation, and even rejection, many of us conveniently hide behind masks.

However, there is an unseen price for suppressing our Real Selves and this price is paid with our precious lives, and, in fact, we might never know what we could have created if we fearlessly lived out-loud!

Rather than just “telling” you how to overcome the fear of self-expression and live as your Real Self, I’m going to share my personal story. This is how I personally faced my worst fears and came out the other side — and how you can too!

Like so many, my fear of self-expression began in childhood, and, in fact, early life experiences often set the stage for adult inhibition.

The Dark Side of Third Grade!
Honestly, I absolutely hated elementary school, and with no “A’s,” praise, or golden stars, I was just barely skimming by, and, to make matters worse, I was ridiculed by teachers and bullied by classmates.

However, when I was assigned the “favorite teacher” in third grade, I thought my fate had changed; tall, blonde, and beautiful, Ms. Horvath, looked like an angel and I instantly loved her! Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the feeling was not mutual!

One day, Ms. Horvath’s assistant graded essays for a creative writing assignment and hung the best ones on the wall, and to my surprise, my paper was displayed smack dab in the middle. For the first time in my young life, I felt proud and worthy, but, as fast as it came, it was taken away.

Just two days later, Ms. Horvath singled out my paper, and with her bright red magic marker, circled and corrected every mistake she could find, and then drawing attention to my terrible essay, she loudly scolded her assistant who marked it improperly.

Within minutes, my beautiful work of art was tainted with bright red scars, and, worst of all, Ms. Horvath left it hanging in full view, for all to see. Shamefully, amongst the best and brightest, my failure stood out as an atrocity, and, for weeks, my classmates took pleasure in my humiliation.

Later that year, Ms. Horvath assigned a special project where we each had to invent a game at home and then present it to the class.

Diligently working on my invention for weeks, I created a fun and unique game that involved moving pieces, lots of interesting details, written instructions, and a scoring system. Although I was really proud of my creation and excited to share it, the night before my presentation, I panicked!

You see, most of my classmates had already presented their inventions, and because my invention was radically different, I feared judgment, and, needless to say, I was terrified of humiliation once again. So, to protect myself from shame, I decided to leave my unique project safely at home. Instead, I quickly cut small pieces of colorful paper into strips and glued them together to create a long chain. Although it didn’t really do anything, it fulfilled the assignment requirements, and there would be minimal risk of judgment and ridicule.

However, while presenting my invention to the class the next day, Ms. Horvath went into a controlled rage. She declared, “This project shows absolutely no creativity, and since it’s completely worthless, it should be thrown away!”

Dripping with shame and wanting to disappear, I stood there helplessly as everyone laughed at me. Judging myself mercilessly, I thought about the awesome invention I left home, and how it was far superior to anything created by my classmates. “Why did I lack the courage to be bold and take a chance?” I said silently to myself.

No doubt, this childhood trauma left a deep scar, and, from that point on, I became even more introverted – because I was petrified of being seen, I hid my Real Self in a cocoon of disempowerment.

The Beauty of Hindsight
At such a young age, I could not comprehend why my adored teacher would hurt me in such a cruel way. However, as years turned into decades and experience transformed into wisdom, the “beauty of hindsight” has revealed a higher truth.

You see, years later, as a young adult, I was faced with an important choice where I could either play it safe and hide self-expression or take a chance and boldly express my Real Self. Although the fear of shame and humiliation begged me to play it safe, my mind flashed back to Ms. Horvath’s class….

Remembering how the “safe choice” ended in dreaded humiliation and a lifetime of lingering regret, I knew that I could no longer avoid my fears by playing it safe. Therefore, I thought, “Why not take a chance? After all, if the “safe choice” can result in the worst outcome, what’s to lose?”

So, after analyzing the past and carefully weighing all options, I was left with only one choice. Rather than inhibiting self-expression and abandoning myself once again, I chose to take a risk. Even though fear and anxiety still rose up to keep me down, I intentionally ignored the instinct to run and hide.

Instead, I made a commitment that no matter the outcome, I would not abandon myself, and this meant that even if I totally flopped and the result was failure, I would love myself no less.

In that moment of clarity and commitment, I broke free from the cocoon of disempowerment!

Since then, I have experienced a lifetime of authentic self-expression, and while some bold choices have ended poorly, many more have flowered into amazing opportunities. Nonetheless, whether I have reap the seeds of courage or end up licking my own wounds, at least I have no regrets for trying, and whether I emerge with battle scars or victory, I am no less empowered!

Re-interpreting the Past
Under careful examination, and through the eyes of non-biased observation, we can begin to see that without challenges to overcome, there’s no way to discover our intrinsic power, and, therefore, life is designed this way.

Although it’s often difficult to see at the time, every challenge and trauma presents extraordinary gifts, and these gifts are designed to support an extraordinary life. However, unlike natural gifts, these gifts are rarely in plain sight. Therefore, as curators of our own lives, it’s up to us to uncover and cultivate the gifts we were meant to reap through the challenges we faced.

So, as it turns out, by fulfilling the role my Higher Self asked her to play, Ms. Horvath was my angel after all!

However, although every traumatic experience is an opportunity for self-empowerment, if we don’t consciously choose the path of empowerment, the path of disempowerment is chosen by default – but, remember, it’s never too late to choose again!

Take a Chance On You!
There is a valuable pay-off for being your Real Self. Not only does it result in joy and fulfillment, and deeper connections, it’s immensely easier to be your Real Self than pretend to be someone you’re not.

Do you have any idea how much energy is wasted by repressing authenticity? In fact, the consequences of suppressing your Real Self often include hopelessness, purposelessness, loneliness, anxiety, depression, and even illness.

However, before you can overcome the fear of judgment and rejection, and express your Real Self, you might need to:

Challenge deeply ingrained beliefs.
Break traditions held by your family or culture.
Release the need for permission, approval, acceptance, validation, etc…
Own your unconditional worth (not contingent on outcomes).
Disregard disempowering opinions of others!
And, last but not least, whatever you do, don’t abandon yourself!

Do Not Abandon Yourself!
Despite how it might seem or feel, no one can ever hurt you as deeply as you hurt yourself. In fact, abandoning oneself is immeasurably worse than being rejected by the whole world.

Hindsight, the trauma that I experienced in Ms. Horvath’s class was not the result of her judgment or rejection or that of my classmates, but, rather, due to the fact that I judged and rejected myself. You see, by doing so, I abandoned myself.

In fact, whenever we subject ourselves to self-suppression and self-judgment, we inadvertently abandon our Real Selves — and this is the core-cause of all emotional wounds.

Therefore, before you can express your Real Self, you have to know that you are not going to abandon yourself at the first sign of failure. Regardless of circumstances or consequences, you must make the commitment to never impose judgment or shame upon yourself, and you must also release unrealistic ideals of perfection. Furthermore, do your very best to cultivate self-love and acceptance, and, most of all, support yourself as you’d want others to support you – and, especially, throughout periods of doubt and uncertainty.

Either you can play it safe and risk a lifetime of regret, or you can choose self-expression and be free!

For more on self abandonment, please read my article, The #1 Reason Emotional Trauma Doesn’t Heal – and How to Overcome It.

The Starring Role of Your Life!
Although we can never know the outcome of our choices, be assured that there’s always a hidden cost for playing it safe. By missing an opportunity, you’ve gained nothing in return, and who knows what you might have lost?

In fact, if you don’t choose yourself for the starring role of your life, no one else will!

Of all the billions of people who’ve ever lived or will ever live, there’s only one you, and, therefore, your only job is to be you. After all, if you’re not going to be you, then who will?

Yes, it can be scary to expose yourself to the world, and, yes, others will likely judge you, but, those same people will judge you any way. Since there is no way to avoid judgment, why not live the life you want to live? In fact, anything less is too big a price to pay, and, believe it or not, what other’s think about you is none of your business anyway!

So, whether you reap the seeds of courage or end up licking your own wounds, never regret trying, and whether you emerge with battle scars or victory, remember that your life is no less extraordinary!

We Are All Multidimensional Explorers

evening-72354__340

By Raphael Awen

Every last one of us are multidimensional, meaning we exist on more than one plane. Most of us however are not aware of it, and those of us that are aware of it, are left in a place of wanting, even craving to open our awareness of these other states of being into our more normal waking consciousness.

We become more and more like true explorers, filled with curiosity and wonder. How did we arrive to even being aware on and of ANY level, let alone these unexplored levels? How can we open ourselves further and faster to what wonderworlds lie before us?

One piece I feel that answers these QUESTions is feeling how prone we are, and understandably so, to normalize phenomenal experiences. When you first learned to walk, it was celebrated and photographed. But when was the last time anyone or yourself took notice of this incredible ability of yours to walk? If you pause for a moment to contemplate how amazing it is that you can walk, that you are a physical being, who came from a single cell, all the way to possessing the ability to walk, an awe and wonder reopens that was closed off by this need we have to normalize wonder.

I guarantee you that when we all find the ability to teleport, we will after not too long, be kind of ho-hum about it. It’s just what we do. Your ability to walk is no less amazing than an ability to teleport, it’s just that one has become common to us and the other hasn’t.

It seems we need to do this normalizing of phenomena to be able to navigate the phenomena. We’d be like total stoners if we couldn’t. But being like a total stoner is an option we can retake to ourselves when we are ready to re-enter the awe and reverence of the thing that we normalized. Wanna get totally stoned?…just consider that other dimensional beings would consider it really cool if they could bump into walls, while we on the other hand we would consider it really cool if we could walk through walls. It’s all about what we’ve normalized and made familiar.

If this is true, then your ability to bump into a wall is really amazing stuff and no less amazing than the ability to walk through walls. It’s about our need on one hand to leave the realm of awe and wonder long enough to alchemize desire and curiosity to expand our dimensionality, and then to re-enter that world of total awe and wonder. This dimension is really cool, but what about all the others that I don’t begin to know? Moving from normalcy to the abnormal, from the familiar to the unfamiliar, seems to be the anti-gravitic device that allows us to travel to realms beyond the one we’ve been tethered to.

Boredom and ho-hum is what we use to anchor us to a given dimension. Awe and reverence is what we use to awaken us to attempting our first steps in new dimensions.

The universe is so inviting you and I out to PLAY. The universe is a total child at heart, and doesn’t begin to know where all this is heading, but so wants to find out. It wants to find out through you and me.

OPENING YOUR HEART TO FEEL WHAT IS REAL

HarmonicConvergenceofSouls

June 5, 2018 By Jelelle Awen

Open your heart to feel the pains there, the fear there, the tears there. FEELing this, letting it BE, holding yourself and parts of you in the mourning and the letting go. Opening your heart to be REAL about what your feelings are, especially the ones of unhappiness and distress over current relationships and situations in your life.

Over and over, I invite this heart opened realness in my sessions. It comes back to this so often too with every woman that I hold space for. It is really a space being held for feeling, for reconnection with the emotional body while bridging to the soul. A self permission I reflect back/mirror/offer to feel, to allow the TRUTH of your emotional reality to come up, to hold space for yourself and parts of you to FEEL.

Why does this self permission to FEEL need to be mirrored and offered over and over? Our 3D conditioning is to suppress, to numb, to cover over, to protect, to guard, to settle, to repress. Energies form inside of you (such as the Inner Protector) to block the natural and organic arising of your emotions because it is judged as TOO MUCH. So it is judged by your culture, often by your birth families, maybe even by your mates….your sensitivity is too much, your emotionality is too much, your heart breaking sense of life is too much.

Yet, actually, is it JUST RIGHT. That sensitivity is your heart porosity and your capacity to LOVE. And, as it heals from being allowed to be and flow, so it floods out more and more from healthy compassion, empathy, service with others. You can then feel what others are feeling while they are feeling it because YOU have embodied this WITH yourself and your own parts over and over.

Open your heart to feel the pains there and the joy can come into the space that is made.

Intimacy with self and other can come into the space that is made.

Vulnerability can come into the space that is made.

Love can come into the space that is made. And love can be the FEELING that flows most in most moments.

The Universe Is Never Testing You – Taryn Crimi

pinterest-divine-woman

Today we would like to focus your attention upon the desires that each of you have. There is not a single soul on your world that does not have desires which they wish to manifest for themselves. So often we watch in dismay as you block these desires by creating resistance with your thoughts of doubt, worry and fear. There is a very common misconception amongst many on your world, it is the belief that you must prove your worthiness, you must prove that you can overcome obstacles in order to deserve all that you desire to create. We are here to tell you that you did not come here to struggle, you did not come here to see how difficult you could make your life, the universe never tests you and this is what we would like to further elaborate upon.

If there is anything we most want to convey to all of you it is of your worthiness. There is nothing that any of you can do to deserve anything less than the perfection of all that you are. No matter where you are, no matter what experiences you have manifested, no matter what choices you have made up until this point in time its never too late to make a new choice. You always have the ability to shift your focus upon something that pleases you, something that offers you the feeling of peace, of joy of bliss.

So many of you believe that the universe is in some way keeping all that you desire away from you until you prove your worthiness, until you have proven that you are resilient enough, until you prove that you really do deserve all the good that you have yearned for. As if there is something outside of yourself responsible for fulfilling your dreams and desires. And to this we say, there is nothing further from the truth. The only one capable of keeping anything from manifesting is you. The thoughts you are thinking, the direction of your focus, the emotions you are choosing to feel are directly related to the experiences you manifest.

We will tell you this, the Universe is always giving you everything you are asking for, and there are no exceptions. So why then do you not have all that you desire here in your physical reality? To this we reply, because you are not allowing your desires to manifest. Certainly many of you are completely unaware that you are blocking all that you ask to receive. The Universe is responding to every desire, every need, every wish for something better, but you cannot see the signs because you are so focused on the lack of what you want. It would be similar to saying: I am watching channel 5 on my television, but what I really desire is to watch channel 10. If you don’t change the channel you cannot see what is on channel 10. It is there, it is just as real as channel 5, but you can’t see it because you are not dialed into the channel you prefer. You just keep focusing on the fact that you cannot see channel 10. And so it is with the things that you desire. When you allow your thoughts to begin to focus upon what you desire, rather than repeatedly and incessantly focusing on what you do not want, you would begin to see the unfolding of all that you desire in such perfection you would be in shock by how easily everything began to flow into your life. Do you understand our analogy? You must be tuned into the vibration of creation in order to see the signs and impulses the Universe is always giving you. The universe never keeps your desires from you.

We watch as so many of you keep yourselves focused in such despair, such frustration because you feel as though you do not have any control over your lives, that you do not have the power to create your dreams, when in fact a simple shift in your focus is all that is needed to allow your dreams to unfold in the most marvelous of ways. So many of you believe that you must persevere, that you must force your dreams into manifestation, that dreams are earned not given. If we could persuade you to focus more of your attention on what you do want rather than focusing on the lack of it you would see how effortlessly things would begin to fall into place. We often say, you cannot focus on fear and faith at the same time. You cannot focus on the lack of resources while attracting abundance. Once you begin to deliberately choose your thoughts because you know you are the creator of your reality you will really begin to marvel at how much easier life begins to feel. You can’t focus on how hard everything is and expect it to get easier because that’s what you prefer. The universe is always delivering to you more of what you focus upon. Reach for the thoughts that feel good. It really is that simple. You never have to feel something you don’t want to. You say, oh but what about all these upsetting experiences around me? To this we remind you, your focus, your thoughts are always under your control and no one else can choose them for you. There is always something you can focus upon that pleases you. Always.

You did not come here to struggle, you did not come here to prove your worthiness, nor did you come here to see how many difficulties you could bare. You simply came here to experience the exhilaration of creating all that you desire into a physical reality. But you have momentarily forgotten your divinity, you have forgotten how to play, you have forgotten that you came for the satisfaction of manifesting your desires. Life is not meant to be so difficult; you came here to have fun. Don’t worry so much about making mistakes, there really is no such thing, you will always have new desires, and it will always be incredibly pleasing each time that you allow the universe to deliver them. So take a deep breath and relax into the knowing that you are infinitely supported in everything you desire. You are always in control, you can create anything you desire, there is never a dream too big. You hold the key to all of your dreams. Begin to focus on what you do want rather than being so focused on what you don’t have. Feel what it would feel like to have those dreams now. What does it feel like to have your desires right now? Play with this concept and you will begin to see new opportunities flow into your life.

We hope that we have served you in some way.

The Art of Self Loving for Spring

1376314_10200611205950228_1075955537_n

by WINTER CLARK 7 MAY MOON AND PRACTICE, WRITING

Self love is an interesting concept. It’s something that we’re all aware of but how we approach it will look differently for each of us. When we hear the question, “do you love yourself?” we may be faced with a mix of emotions as we think about it and try to answer in a way that feels right.

This topic is coming up strongly for May because spring is in the air and bringing new beginnings with it. May is also bringing us fertility, creation, love and really juicy energy (I’m looking at you Beltane!) that opens us up to new possibilities of how we relate to ourselves.
We experienced a highly transformative winter that led us unapologetically into March and April, where we shrugged off layers to release that which no longer served us under the Scorpio full moon. The beautiful thing is, universal energies are always working to assist us in our growth process as we pursue the things we deeply desire – even if it doesn’t always feel like it.

Self love is about attending to your needs in the way of balancing actions. We can think of energy balancing between two polarities; for example masculine and feminine energy.
If masculine energy is out of balance, this will show up as aggression or forcefulness, overworking oneself, speaking to ourselves in a harsh manner and so on.
Masculine energy in balance is direct, assertive, driven and goal oriented.

Imbalanced feminine energy can show up as passivity, avoiding, withdrawing and not voicing one’s needs. It can also look like hiding things out of fear, having difficulty receiving or putting aside priorities to help others more than what is necessary. Balanced feminine energy is receptive, regenerative (balanced give and take), nurturing and intuitive.

There are many ways to bring balance back in. If you’re finding that it’s hard to call in what you want such as a passion project, a new idea or a fresh direction for your life, considering the energies at play can be really beneficial in bringing the process back into flow.

Here are some examples of bringing masculine energy into balance:

– Setting your alarm to take scheduled breaks from work, such as a walk around the office or even better, outside around the block. Get some water or tea to refresh your brain!
– Placing crystals in the areas you spend the most time in at work (like your desk) or at home in your work space such as selenite (to raise the vibration), rose quartz (to bring gentleness into the space), or amethyst (to stay connected to your higher self).
– Making a point to get outside at least once a day. If you can do that, try getting in a walk at least once a week. Mindful walking means going at a relaxed pace, noting the plants and animals around you to see the dance of nature that’s happening behind the scenes.

When we balance feminine energy, it can look like:

– Saying no when you really don’t want to, don’t need to or don’t have to say yes.
– Incorporating more movement into your daily routine (Spotify dance break!).
– Allowing others to assist you from time to time instead of trying to do it all yourself. This is really helpful for those who find it challenging to receive and are more comfortable in the role as a “giver.”

These are methods that anyone can use because we all have masculine and feminine energies within us. We all fall out of balance from time to time! So be kind, be gentle but above all, be patient with yourself in this season of love and renewal.

THE JOURNEY OF CHANGE IS WITHIN

31934825_1402537609852302_261032104907767808_n

Within each moment there is the potential for something significant to happen that is unexpected by our veiled consciousness and yet “served to order” by our higher consciousness.

You are the boat, the sea, and the sky. You navigate the waters that were created by your own choosing. Talk to the sea. Feel the nature of the waves. Look to the heavens for guidance and direction. Use your God-given gift of curiosity and courage to embark on a journey of self-forgiveness, empowerment, and purpose instead of feeling like you are the play toy of The Universe in the midst of a storm you have self-lovingly chosen to ignore until it has become too much for your heart to endure.

Nothing that you created is beyond your power to change. The depth of your circumstance is only paled in comparison to the size of your soul that chose it. You will not change it overnight. There are no ‘silver bullets’ on the way back to Wholeness. There is pain to feel, choices to own, parts to love, risks to take, and stakes to claim.

You did not come here to watch the world go by. You chose this life to live…to ache…to grow…to ‘fuck up’…to learn…to Love…and repeat. This is your soul’s and heart’s calling. You chose humanity…now claim it with all that it has to offer in the next phase of your evolution as a conduit, creator, and conspirator for Love. Heal all that the world is needing you to heal so that you can BE what the world needs you to be…alive, aware, ascended in Love.

A NEW PARADIGM, AWARENESS

APRIL 28, 2018 OPENHEARTED REBEL

By Jessie Klassen, Wake Up World

“Are you sure you just want to farm? Don’t you want to do something more with your life?” These were the questions posed to me in high school by my well-meaning teachers when I had declared that I was going to farm with my family after graduation. In their eyes, I was wasting my talents by staying on the farm I grew up on.

For generations, this has been a fostered attitude here in the country; you grow up, move to the city as soon as you can, get an education so that you can get a good paying job and you’ll be much happier than living out here in “the sticks.” There isn’t a whole lot of encouragement or support given to anyone with aspirations of staying. Sadly, this attitude for decades has meant the decimation of our small communities and reliance upon large, urban centres.

Not that there was anything wrong with those who did choose to move away and pursue their dreams elsewhere. Their talents and abilities are certainly cherished and needed in this world. I am just hoping that this is what they actually wanted, and that they weren’t left feeling empty, or somehow abandoned by the life and the land that they knew; because it seems that when our children are being guided into their careers, especially by the school system, it often comes down to “coulds” and “shoulds” rather than “wants” and “callings”.

With this trend of small-town families encouraging their children to go live a “better life elsewhere”, I can’t help but wonder if those people couldn’t see the treasures they had in front of them? And I wonder how many of these children did indeed feel happier in the city, or away from their homeland? Away from the land?

My own parents experienced the same questions from their teachers as I had from mine; “But you’re too smart to farm, you could be anything you want”, was what my mother was told. In other words, “Only idiots stay here and farm, go make something of yourself.” This comment implied the sentiment that so many have carried for so long; that you don’t have to be very smart to farm, so it is what you do if you aren’t capable of anything “greater”. This attitude diminishes the great skill and determination involved in farming, and the incredible value of farming to our community.

So, my parents did give a life in the city a try. It lasted about a year, and in that time they found themselves so miserable and longing for the farm that they moved home to the farm and never looked back. Needless to say, my mother’s impeccable book-keeping abilities, coupled with her and my father’s building and fixing skills, work ethic, love and knowledge of the natural world, and pioneering spirit, have all served them well as self-employed farmers. Fortunately, they both came from farming families who encouraged rather than discouraged them.

Farming requires all kinds of skills, talents, and abilities, most of which cannot be learned from a book. Something that I have noticed that sets many farmers apart from many others is the accuracy of their intuition. Farming is a spiritual practice that one must feel — and there is really no teacher like experience.

Choosing a Way of Life
My parents chose to farm for the exact reasons that I chose to farm; it allows a way of life that I wanted to have for both myself and my children.

I cringe when I hear people speak of their gruelling commutes to get to work every day. The stress of traffic and the time that they are losing out on their days must wear on their entire beings. I enjoy a short, winding, half-minute drive through the trees to reach my destination, and it is a pure joy at all times of the year to either drive, walk, or bike. And the only traffic I meet is another family member or else a chattering red squirrel.

Every day is “take your kids to work day”, and school is often skipped so that valuable lessons at home can be focused upon. The teachers in our small-town school have come to understand that the Klassen kids will never set any records for attendance (but quite possibly for non-attendance). I have come to realize that we are engaging in a sort of combination of public/home-schooling, and with their good marks in school, I feel we are enjoying the best of both worlds.

Country living provides fresh air for my family to breathe, clean water to drink, a chance to grow nutritious food or pick it from the wild, and a safe environment for my kids to run free, explore and connect with Nature while learning about themselves.

No two days on the farm are ever alike, as our chores are always shifting with the seasons. I get to keep company with the kindest of creatures, and my co-workers are also my furry, faithful companions who guard my yard (mostly chickens) from predators.

When I was 19 I went to work for a local seed dealer for a seasonal spring job. It lasted two months, and in this short time I learned the valuable lesson of how good I had it at home, working with those who love and care for me and would never take advantage of my work ethic. I also learned how much I missed the kind-hearted cattle and the land I grew up on, and I learned that they had missed me as well. I learned that I would always do whatever it takes to stay on this land and be my own boss, and treat my own children with the same kindness and respect that my parents had treated me.

I remember one such comment from my boss one day which really made me realize how soul-depleting it can be to work for someone who only looks at you with dollar value. I was shovelling grain, and it was a hot, dusty job. He laughed at me and said, “I bet you’re wishing now that you went off to college, hey?”

I didn’t reply. What was the point? How could I explain that I really didn’t mind shovelling my own grain, or the grain of my family, grown on our land, with others who appreciate me.

This seed dealer looked at everything and everyone as a business. There was no soul connection to the land or to others, and he was only happy if he knew he had gotten every ounce of work out of you that he could.

I was also fortunate to find a partner who enjoys this way of life as much as I do. But having said that, when we set our standards and know exactly what we want, we naturally attract those who feel the same, so it’s probably not just a matter of fortune. He loves living “out in the sticks” and understands that quality time spent together is often time spent working together. You learn to take what you can get! But when you love what you do, it seldom feels like work.

As a farmer, it is impossible to schedule holidays, and so one has to learn the art of flexibility and embracing opportunities as they arise.

While life in the country, especially on a farm, certainly has its challenges, I have found that the rewards far outweigh them. While we have to work in all kinds of weather, and have had days where we are literally covered in manure, there is great beauty in being in constant connection and rhythm with Nature. I feel the sun rise every day, in the summer months when it is strong, and in the winter when it is subtle. Every evening as I make supper, I can watch it sink into the landscape.

When I do go into our small town, which thankfully has survived recent trends and still has a school and other businesses, I am greeted with smiles and pleasant conversation. It only takes one trip to the city and an encounter with a surly salesperson who looks miserable in their occupation to appreciate the service of a small town.

At one time I used to wonder how my life would have turned out had I not stayed here in the country with my family. What if I would have “pursued” writing, in the more conventional sense? I’ve since come to know that I wouldn’t have had anything to write about. My words would have been empty. But my soul is fulfilled here, living upon the land that loves and takes care of me and my family, so I write about what I know about, and what I love — as a farmer, parent, and empath — and share the words that Nature wants to have heard.

Looking back, I can’t help but admire the young girl I used to be, who knew where she needed to be and what she wanted. I will always hold a great appreciation for my parents who supported and encouraged me to listen to my heart. Life certainly hasn’t always gone as planned, there have been bumps and detours along the way, but as with all things in life, there are no accidents and every choice got me here.

I am not sure if my own children will want to farm or stay in the country, as I know it isn’t for everyone, but I will certainly try to provide every opportunity that I can to help them if they choose to stay, or to come back one day, such as my parents provided for me. Perhaps they will need to leave and spread their wings. Perhaps they will find another place that calls to them and feels like home. Or maybe they will be called back to the land that loves them, seasoned with life lessons and experiences.

Whether my children choose to stay or not, may they choose a way of life that fulfills them, not simply a logical occupation that pays the bills; one that nourishes their soul, not depletes it; a way of life where they look forward to rising every day, living their passion and expressing the joy that lives within them; a life where they are truly sharing their gifts.

asdf

In a society that has fallen into the traps of over-stimulation, distraction, and competition, and has come to equate happiness with money and success with a title, I feel it is time to refocus on the simple pleasures of life; healthy food, a safe, clean environment for our children to grow into who they are, and time to enjoy one another and see the magic in the world around us.

I feel it is time for a refocus on our small communities, because this is where this wholesome life can be lived. These small communities can be created within cities as well. They are simply groups of like-minded people who are all willing to co-create the world in which they want to live in. It is these communities that will encourage and allow our children to choose a way of life, not an occupation. Community gardens are a wonderful start for people to gather and share in the sacred act of growing nutritious food and showing love for the earth and the land that supports them. It is time that those of us in small communities stop sending our children, our most valuable resource, “out there for a better life” and start re-creating the life that we want right where we are. We don’t want to hold them back, but we can encourage them to stay or to return when they are ready. We can place our loving intent and energy into our communities, like a seed, and we will soon reap the bountiful harvest of fulfilled, contented people.

I hope that you have found this helpful! I would love to hear from you via my website www.jessieklassen.com. While there, feel free to sign up for my free weekly-ish newsletter where I share my lessons and experiences from living a life close to Nature.

Much love,
Jessie

4 Brutally Honest Things Survivors Of Narcissistic Abuse Want To Say To Their Abusers

fullsizeoutput_2d

BY A CONSCIOUS RETHINK On 31ST MAY 2016 NARCISSISTS

The one and only narcissistic abuse recovery program you’ll ever need.

Whatever the root cause of their behavior, a narcissist will cause untold suffering to those they abuse. They are spirit crushers; they take an individual and control, confuse, and torment them with a bewildering array of verbal and physical weaponry just to gratify their insatiable, egotistical mind.

Upon escaping this toxic personality, it can take a survivor a great deal of time to recapture some semblance of their former identity, but they will never quite resemble the person they were before.

Despite this, they will eventually reach a place where they are able to look back on their experiences at the hands of a narcissist with some small amount of acceptance. They will never fully understand why they had to endure such suffering, but they will no longer be imprisoned by the lingering influence of their narcissist.

While it is recommended that someone who has been through such an ordeal never again make contact with the person in question, there are a few things that many would love to be able to say to their abuser.

Here are four such statements that might be said.

1. You Did NOT Break Me
You hurt me in ways that you’ll never quite understand. At times, life with you felt like a form of psychological torture as you pushed me ever closer to the brink of the abyss.

You took me, you chewed me up, and you spat me out again. You have forever changed me in ways that I am still coming to terms with.

You looked at me as a tool and used me as just that. You didn’t care for me; all you wanted from me was the adoration and attention that you crave.

I just want you to know that you did NOT break me. My spirit may have been hurt, but since leaving you behind, it has once again bloomed and flourished.

In spite of all your attempts to degrade and destroy me, you failed. I stand here today in defiance of you and everything you did to me.

2. You No Longer Have A Place In My Heart (And That’s Your Loss)
For a long time, my heart belonged to you. You had my love, my care, and my devotion, but you wasted it and now it is gone.

There is no longer a place for you in my heart and I want you to know that there never will be again. What you had was a privilege and an honor, but you know no respect for such things.

You may think you have much in your life, but my love – and the love of all those who have left you behind – is something that you will be much poorer without.

5 Things Narcissists Do To Convince Victims To Come Back

3. You Taught Me A Lesson I Needed To Learn
You may well believe that you had the last laugh in our relationship, that there is nothing that I could possibly take from the time I spent with you.

Let me tell you now that you are wrong.

You may have used me without a second thought to my wellbeing, and you may not care how I am now, but you should know that what you did to me has taught me huge amounts.

You and your spiteful behavior were life lessons that I am grateful for. I do not thank you for this; I thank myself for being able to see the meaning in your malevolent ways and to learn from them that which I needed to learn.

4. I Pity You
The only feeling I have left for you now is one of pity. It is sad to think that you will never know what it feels like to love, to feel compassion, or even to truly feel close to another living being.

I wish you were able to understand what it is you lack, but I doubt you ever will. It’s not simply the love for others, but that which you feel towards yourself too; I don’t think you even experience this.

I cannot imagine a world in which there is no love, but this is precisely what you must be living in. While others may show you love, you cannot feel its effects, nor bask in its warmth and beauty.

For all this, I can only have pity for you.

ASCENSION LOVE ENERGIES INVITE HEALING OF CONTENTION IN OUR PARTS AND METASOUL ASPECTS

The illuminating LOVE waves cascading over us now and always, are shedding light on the knotted places inside. The places that, when touched, send ripples of what have become knee-jerk triggers flowing through our hearts and bodies. Feelings of defeat or a need or contend, feelings of loss or a need to over-compensate for what has been lost, feelings of needing and wanting to “fight” – for revenge, for retribution, in defense, in anxiety – ultimately, out of fear on some level. Contention and the temptation towards it that parts of us and Metasoul Aspects have is the BIG one, it feels like. It has been the main default for when we feel reactions. It’s either time to go to war, or it’s time to hide. And the middle ground doesn’t often get navigated, for even to claim to be a ‘light” or “love warrior” still throws down the gauntlet and invites a battle of some kind.

Love, because it is SO powerful when it’s in its purest, most real form, has the power to elucidate this reactivity and does draw out the desires in parts and Metasoul Aspects to fight in some way, often against it actually, because genuine love is a challenging energy to let in and presses on all of the unworthiness within us. Sometimes we need to walk this out and obviously as a species, human beings have been attached to this sort of play out in conflictual situations for a long time now. We cannot fault or blame the parts of us or others who have embodied this, as we’ve all co-created it in so many layers and sometimes even in subtle ways, and, these parts have NEEDED these energies. Especially in the harsh reality of 3D where there is competition, abuse and violence on MANY levels, socio-pathic ferocity without consideration of its impact, and misguided use of power, so often rooted in an intense need for more self-worth and love within.

At times, contentious energies seem to pop out of us, sometimes unsolicited, sometimes fully invited. These energies and emotions, like any others that come through us in waves, sometimes need to take the floor. Choosing to make space for this, to own it and feel it and get curious about it too, opens to the door to much, much healing on this ground. To the degree that we have contention still brewing inside of us, quite often from part to part or very much alive in a timeline (or many) of our Metasoul Aspects, we will draw it, even look for it, on the outside. In this incredibly complicated world that has been so violent and painful at times to face and be part of, reclaiming our power IS to go inward and become the loving parent to parts of us that so need a humble adult heart to lean into. We’ve all felt the distrust that arises and the lostness feelings of needing to claw our way up and out of the wells we’ve found ourselves in. Contention has so often been the only way that parts of us could grab onto to help themselves out of the well, often exacerbating the situation instead of resolving it, especially within where the real contention is and has always been…

With these Ascension love codes helping us feel all of this now, comes an invitation to continue feeling our next places and especially where those more contentious triggers within us are still living. We get to be with these energies as they live inside parts and Metasoul Aspects of us and help them find and feel a NEW way that lives in and from true self-love and an overflow of abundant compassion and love from us to the world and back again. This is the way of drawing the new day of the New Earth into our Now, not as an event to wait for, but a reality that emerges from within and contagiously and courageously flows outward.
